  • 2010 member renewals:  There will be a $5.00 surcharge added to renewals after December 31, 2010.  What incentives could be available to clubs to encourage early membership renewal?  Could clubs receive an reward if members renewed prior to end of year?  Bruce is seeking club ideas for further discussion.
  • Bruce has received a trolling motor and four bank charger from Minnkota.
  • A $1500 Hummingbird order is pending.

New Business

  • CJ Strike concerns were addressed by Bruce.  There was a complaint made against a club tournament due to excessive speed through the narrows.  The bass boats with tournament motor bands are readily identified  and sheriff is monitoring the area closely.  It was mentioned not all boats are bass fisherman causing problems.  The narrows speed limit is 30mph. which is lower than in the past.  Suggestions in the meeting were to encourage sheriff to ask boats fishing in narrows, stay at water edge verses anchoring in center.
  • IBFN contacted TIBF about the 1996 Contract relating to the F&G Release Boat.  They have advised since they are not allowed to use the boat (TIBF refutes this fact), they should receive $500.00 compensation stemming from the contract.  It was mutually agreed in the meeting that no debt owed to IBFN so $500 should not be paid.  IBFN and TIBF to this day have equal access to the boat…they just need to ask to schedule.  Bruce reminded everyone, the release boat is owned by F&G.
  • IBM will look into cost of release boat tire replacement.  Tires expense will be covered by the TIBF Conservation fund.

2010 TIBF Banquet planning

  • Location:  Hilton Garden Inn-Boise (same as 2009 location)
  • No host bar will be set up and open at 5:00pm.
  • Hilton charges a $100 set up fee for bar.
  • Dinner will be 6:00pm.
  • Same menu planned but changes can be readily made.
  • No other charges for the banquet room.
  • Hilton will supply audio-visual equipment.
  • There is one comp room for a guest speaker.
  • Suggestions are being sought for the guest speaker.  A couple so far are:  Cal Groen, Idaho Fish & Game, Thomas Woolf, Idaho Invasive Species Manager, and/or other professional fisherman including Brett Hite, Brent Ehler, Brian Travis, Brandon Palinuik, Boyd Duckett, Jay Yelas.  Bruce will continue to research means for covering cost of speaker expense.

Meeting adjourned 8:40pm.
