INTRODUCTIONS
AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: No guests were introduced
COMMITTEE
REPORTS:
YOUTH: Youth Director Scyler Hill reported:
J The Idaho Kids Champions are
ready to go back to the Kids Classic and fish.
J The Federation received the
other $500 for Youth activities from the Caldwell Chevrolet dealer.
J
J C.A.S.T. East is July 24 on
J C.A.S.T. West is August 21
on Black Canyon Reservoir. If anyone has
extra tackle to donate please let Scyler know.
CONSERVATION: Conservation Officer Mike Lembke reported:
J BBB bought another 100
buckets for more structure plants at C.J. Strike.
J The tanks on the release
boat are leaking badly and the seals on the trap doors need replaced. Scyler mentioned
that someone leave the doors down when they towed the boat and that the wind
tears the seals. After the fish are
dumped, the trap doors need to be closed.
J The release boat wouldn’t
start at the Jack & Jill tournament and it was towed out to release the
fish. Someone mentioned that there is a
fuse under the motor cowling that has been blowing since the motor controls
were changed out. A motion was made and
passed to get it fixed.
TOURNAMENT
DIRECTOR: Tournament
director Bruce Flesher reported:
J The culling of dead fish is
not covered under any of the Federation tournament rules and was questioned at
the last South Qualifier. After research
it was found that culling of dead fish in considered wanton waste by IDFG and
is against the state wildlife rules. As
such, it is illegal to cull dead fish in a tournament and so anyone caught
doing so will be disqualified.
J JC still needs a firm
headcount for the Scales of Justice tournament coming up on Sept. 19 on C.J.
Strike. He needs it by the August
Federation meeting so that Judge Bubba will know how many kids and observers to
bring.
J Don Corkran

COMMUNICATION: Communication Officer Steve
Day reported:
J The results for the last
South Qualifier are posted. We still have no results from the North and need
the results from the second Qualifier in the East.
STATE TEAM:
J Some of the State Team
members are still unhappy with the State Team shirt incident at this year’s
Divisional Qualifier. After discussion a
motion was made and passed to reimburse the State Teams for the shirts.
J Another discussion was held
concerning the Skeeter boats $500 program.
The paperwork was not received or sent in. It was mentioned that Skeeter is getting out
supporting B.A.S.S. and the Federation, so they probably weren’t pushing the
$500 bonus program.
J Some questions were raised
about the Quantum & Zebco Alliance Program.
J A motion was made and passed
to do away with the Alternate position on the State Team.
J A discussion was held
concerning ways to get the State Team and everything about it better organized
in the future. A motion was made and
passed to require State Team members to attend a State Team organization
meeting in October and the Federation banquet.
o All Idaho State Team members
must attend a mandatory State Team organization meeting held in October and the
Federation Banquet or forfeit their position on the State Team. If a person forfeits their position, the next
highest person in that region’s Qualifier scoring will take their place.
