Bass Federation (TIBF) meeting Minutes Thursday, May 19, 2011, 7:00pm.
The TIBF May monthly meeting was
brought to order 7:00pm. at Western Marine, Nampa, Idaho.

School Fishing tournament update: May 1, Sunday, at CJ Strike. Eight youth
participated in the tournament. The
TBF trailer was onsite for the event.
Schneidermann brothers won
the tournament. We are hopeful for
increased participation in 2012.
- Youth
Championship is May 21 at Cascade.
Four youth have registered.
Two volunteer boats, Tony Shuyler and Ernie Davis will be on
hand. Each boater will receive $100
allowance for use of boat and fuel.
Saturday night registration and weigh-in is 3:30pm.

Structure Plant update May 15-Snake River Bassmasters assisted Fish and
Game with the plant with over 150 structures planted. Steve Day paid $84.95 for breakfast for
those who volunteered which TIBF reimbursed to him from conservation
fund. Weigh points will be shared
with the volunteers who participated in the structure construction and
plant.

Day is offering a service to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club
websites. Cost annually $100. He is
currently working on the Idaho Basshunters website soon to be completed.

for all updates and information.

members have free ad space available on website.

- Reminder: State Team members are contractually
required to volunteer in a conservation or youth event.
- Qualifier
update: East has completed first
two qualifier events. South’s next
qualifier is June 11 at Owyhee Reservoir.
There are three more boaters signed up and NON-BOATERS ARE
NEEDED.
- 2011
NW Divisional Hood River April 27-29 update: The Idaho State Team took 2nd
overall.
- Ultimate
Angler Event applications now available on TIBF website.
Old Business
- TIBF
Annual banquet planning update-The Annual TIBF Banquet date is February
18, 2012, of which the Hilton Inn, Boise,
has been notified.
- Snake
River Outdoor Sports Show date changed to June 25, 2011, Pocatello. Mike Iconelli will be presenting three
in lieu of two seminars with final seminar at 5pm. There will be Kids Casting event
11-2/3pm. Watch for flyer to be
posted on www.Idahobassfed.com
- Banner
update-Tammy Shuyler advised research for banners are ongoing. Will contact TBF and determine if
banners could be ordered double sided with TBF and TIBF logos. Will try to have them in hand for June’s
TBF events…June 11&12, June 18&19.
- 2012
Northwest Divisional planning-Mountain Home was voted to be the location
for 2012 NW Divisional tournament the first weekend of May, 2012. Local sponsors and contributors in
Mountain Home will be solicited to sponsor welcome BBQ and banquet. The
banquet will have approximately 85 people including anglers, spouses and
TBF representatives. Tournament
would launch from the Air Base Ramp.
Bruce still working out costs and details for rooms. Need to set a date collaborating with Colorado.
- TIBF
now has a Facebook page thanks to Tammy Shuyler.
- Cabelas,
Father’s Day June 19 weekend event update: Bruce asks members to bring ideas to the
table for TIBF participation at the event.
We are currently planning on having a boat in the parking lot of
Cabelas along with a possible Adult flipping contest with giveaways. Contact Bruce to volunteer for this
event either Saturday or Sunday, or both.
New Business
- Lake Lowell
Comp. Plan: A Rep with Dept. of
Fish and Wildlife, Susan Kain, will attend the July TIBF meeting to talk
about the current proposals on the table.
This will not be a public input meeting but a good opportunity for
the fisherman to learn the details of the comprehensive planning process
and proposals. Please share this
with member clubs and encourage member attendance at the July TIBF
meeting.
- Brian
Ashton brought up a concern regarding Youth clubs being established
without an adult club affiliation.
Bruce will bring to the next meeting a by-law amendment requiring
Youth clubs must be affiliated with adult club.
Meeting adjourned 9:00pm.
