The Idaho Bass Federation (TIBF) meeting Minutes Thursday, March 17, 2011, 7:00pm.

            The TIBF March monthly meeting was brought to order 7:00pm. at Western Marine, Nampa, Idaho. Those in attendance were:  Bruce Flesher, President; Tammy Shuyler, Secretary-Treasurer; Steve Day-Communications; Tony Shuyler-IBM; Roger Sheltrown-SRBM and Brandon Craner-Vice-president (via phone).

  • 2011 Club dues renewal reminder-Tammy is now seeing an increase in dues payments finally.

Conservation Report-Steve Jones(Bruce reported)

  • There were 20 volunteers who met at Olsons/Road Runner in Cascade to build structures for the Cascade Structure plant.  The structures will be planted Cascade Reservoir after the ice melts cooperatively with Fish and Game and TIBF members.  Date to be announced for structure plant.  Thank you to the following volunteers for March 12 participation:  Steve Jones, Sandy Jones, Tammy Shuyler, Tony Shuyler, Ron Shuyler, Gary Hill, Matt Roth, Josh Carver, Ryan Wilson, Roger Sheltrown, Mark Roberts, Bev Roberts, Steve Kass, Pat Patterson, Roy Goff, Gunner Goff, Aaron Watkins, Julie Davis, Ernie Davis, Keith Schultz.

Communication Report-Steve Day

  • Website update is complete.
  • Steve Day is offering a service to TIBF member clubs to create and maintain club websites. Cost annually $100.  He advises several sites are under construction and completed.
  • Members can go to TIBF website http://www.idahobassfed.com for all updates and information.
  • TIBF members have free ad space available on website.

Tournament Report-Bruce Flesher

  • TIBF 2011 Qualifiers-The application is available now on the TIBF website.  Bruce advises he has 21 Anglers signed up currently for qualifiers.
  • Ultimate Angler Event applications now available on TIBF website.
  • TBF National Championship- April 12-17, 2011 in Kingman, Tennessee.  Brandon Craner, boater, and Don Boeger, non-boater, will be representing Idaho. 

Old Business

  • TIBF Annual banquet-The Annual TIBF Banquet will now be held in February.  Next scheduled banquet is February 18, 2012.  Location yet to be determined although based on feedback, most folks are in support of a Boise location. 
  • Snake River Outdoor Sports Show, May 20-21, 2011, Pocatello.  Mike Iconelli will be presenting two seminars. 
  • Banners-TIBF has 3 banners that can be used at events.  Additional banners such as butterfly banners is being discussed.  Tammy reported that cost for one banner can range from $250-$400.  Tammy will bring additional pricing information and photos to next meeting.  At that time, a budget and design will be discussed.
  • Bruce encourages TIBF members to be watching website for existing and new sponsors coming on board and that we should patronizing them in return for their support.
  • There will be a TIBF table manned by a few members this weekend at Cabelas promoting bass fishing March 19-20, 2011, in Boise.

New Business

  • 2012 Northwest Divisional planning-Mountain Home is at the top of the list for host cities and now has a proposal from Mountain Home to consider.  He will email proposal to members to review and provide him feedback.  It was suggested that he negotiate room pricing as it did seem a little high.  He will also be seeking a sponsor for the welcome BBQ and Banquet seperately.  The banquet will have approximately 85 people including anglers, spouses and TBF representatives.  Tournament would launch from the Air Base Ramp. He would like to make a decision on location and date prior to attending Divisionals at Washington in April.

Meeting adjourned 8:45pm.
